Rotel's RAS-5000 stereo integrated amplifier has been “specially designed to simplify the entertainment space” thanks to HDMI-ARC and streaming smarts.
The RAS-5000 is Rotel's new high-power stereo integrated amplifier that boasts support for Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Airplay 2, Google Cast, Qobuz and thousands of Internet Radio stations alongside integrating HDMI eARC (Audio Return Channel) connectivity, making it an ideal hub for your AV system as this takes the highest resolution sound from your TV and presents it through your speakers with the additional benefit of a subwoofer output.
In addition to HDMI eARC, there's a wide array of traditional source inputs, including Coaxial, Optical, RCA analogue, USB and aptX HD Bluetooth.
Meanwhile, MQA and hi-res files up to 24-bit 192kHz are treated to a bespoke Rotel digital section featuring a “premium” ESS DAC. Of course, the rest of the RAS-5000's design is also specified to take the utmost care of your audio. An oversized toroidal transformer also enables the RAS-5000 to effortlessly and consistently deliver 220 watts of Class AB output power into 4 ohms.
Rotel states that the specially selected power supply delivers ultra-low-noise power to all critical circuits, with significant current reserves for the amplifier output transistors to ensure audio is delivered with deep, controlled bass energy with exceptional fidelity.
The RAS-5000 is available in stylish black or sophisticated silver and boasts a large, high-quality colour display and user-friendly interface, ensuring effortless operation.
Australian pricing and availability for the RAS-5000 has not yet been confirmed, but overseas it is available from November 2023 priced at £2,799/ €2,999 RRP.
