29th April 2025: Cambridge Audio, the British music and audio technology pioneer, is adding support for Amazon Music as well as advanced tone controls and room compensation to its Gen 4 streaming products in a significant update to its StreamMagic platform.
StreamMagic is Cambridge Audio’s industry-leading streaming platform, offering seamless, stable listening across a wide range of services and formats. As the owner and developer of StreamMagic, Cambridge Audio continuously enhances the platform with new features to further expand its functionality.
By popular demand, the latest update of StreamMagic now comes with support for Amazon Music, giving access to your Amazon Music library directly from the StreamMagic app for iOS or Android. Users can now add tracks to their queue alongside music from UPnP/NAS drives, TIDAL, Qobuz and Deezer. StreamMagic fully supports Amazon HD, allowing listeners to enjoy tracks at their native resolution.
The update also includes advanced tone controls, providing an enhanced and customised listening experience through a 7-band custom EQ and room compensation. Listeners can adjust the sound of their streamer to suit any listening environment. Furthermore, when the products are used in pre-amp mode, balance control is now included.
This latest over-the-air (OTA) software update is now available in the app and is compatible with all StreamMagic Gen 4 products – Evo 75, Evo 150, Evo One, AXN10, MXN10, CXN100 and EXN100.
These additions follow other recent improvements to StreamMagic, including the addition of Spotify Normalisation and QPlay, reinforcing Cambridge’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the StreamMagic experience.
Spotify Normalisation ensures consistent volume levels across tracks, making it easier for users to put that playlist on shuffle and listen to songs without uncomfortable jumps in sound level.
